Which of the 7 habits has the most meaning for you? The 7 habits that have the most meaning for me are Be Proactive, Begin with the end in mind, First seek to understand, then be understood, and Sharpen the Saw. Be Proactive:  was meaningful to me because none on the other habits matter if you cannot do this one. Being proactive means that you can take charge, take the lead, and move forward.  I am not always good at this. I often let my husband lead or even my friends. I get concerned I will disappoint others somehow. It is not that I don't ever take charge, I feel like I need to more often. I am confident in my ability to lead and move forward. I feel like opportunities that have come along that I do get to lead, I do a good job. Being proactive is the most important element of achieving mastery. There were two things that really resonated with me this week.  The first one is a quote from Jan Newman. He says, "One of the things that the world lacks today that you can fill is integrity and honesty and you will stick out like a sore thumb out there and people will see that, and they'll like that. And they'll want you to be a part of what they're doing." I liked this quote for multiple reasons but one thing that I like about it is it gives me hope. It gives me hope because I am 39 years old working through the goal of receiving a bachelor's degree and I worry sometimes that I have waited to long for my moment. I truly feel that this isn't true though. My hope is when I am done with my educational goals, which is still some years from now, that my integrity and honesty will shine forth and I will still have a chance to make my mark in the world and do something worthwhile.  The second quote is from N.   W05 Study Reflection What were your key takeaways from "A Hero's Journey" video? In the video "A Hero's Journey" there was one quote that stood out to me that I appreciated and continue to ponder on. It says: "I believe that you have a very special mission on the earth. A mission that will succeed beyond your wildest dreams, but only if you have the faith and courage to find that entrepreneurial calling." This quote impacted my thinking this week. I shifted my thinking in a sense that has me pondering on things that I would like to learn, what my skills and strengths are, and can I use these things to start something that will bring me satisfaction in an entrepreneurial calling. Questions from the W04 Deconstructing Your Fears Document:  1.   If you pursue your calling with discipline, intentionality, and the help of fellow travelers, what are the chances that your worst case scenario will really happen? The chances of my worst case scenarios happening are slim but still a threat to my success. If I allow my fears to paralyze me from even moving forward that could ruin my plans for success. W03 Reflection This week we studied honesty and business ethics. I enjoyed this week's study materials. One of my favorite talks this week was True Blue, Through and Through by Sheri L. Dew. Sister Dew discussed the virtue of integrity and said one important thing about integrity is telling the truth but that this is only the beginning.  She shared these truths about integrity: Joseph F. Smith said, "Integrity is the cornerstone of character." Gordon B. Hinkley said, "Hold your head in the sunlight of truth, unashamed before anyone." Joseph F. Smith, "True blue, through and though. Sister Dew also shared seven things we can do to Becoming a Woman or Man of Integrity: 1) Decide today, once and for all, that you will be worthy of trust. 2) Have faith that the Lord can and will help you. and then diligently seek His help. 3) Make covenants and keep them. 4) Stand up for what you believe. 5) Expect your integrity to be challenged. 6) Don't give up. 7) Coven...

Why do you think Randy Pausch was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams? I think Randy Pausch was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams because: 1) His parents allowed him to be who he truly is. They let him draw on the walls of his bedroom. He was encouraged to be who he was and not suppress it.  2) He allowed his "brick walls" to push him harder to achieve his goals and dreams. 3) He dreamed big. Like when he went to Disney World and thought he wanted to build things like what he saw there. He wasn't afraid to look beyond his limitations.  4) He lived his life right. He said, "If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, the dreams will come to you.   W01 Thoughts and Reflections What did you learn from this week’s readings and videos? In one of the videos Reid Hoffman said, "You are not a finished asset, you’re not a finished set of skills. You can always do better; you can always learn more." This stuck with me this week as I have been pondering my journey to get my bachelor's degree. It has not been easy and sometimes I want to give up. This quote reminded me that the Lord is not finished with me yet and there are still skills and knowledge I am meant to gain. I believe through my prayers Heavenly Father has told me to finish my degree, no matter how long it takes, or the bumps in the road. My life will be blessed as I allow Heavenly Father to mold me into the person He wants me to be. I know he will never lead me astray.
