W05 Study Reflection

What were your key takeaways from "A Hero's Journey" video?

In the video "A Hero's Journey" there was one quote that stood out to me that I appreciated and continue to ponder on. It says:

"I believe that you have a very special mission on the earth. A mission that will succeed beyond your wildest dreams, but only if you have the faith and courage to find that entrepreneurial calling."

This quote impacted my thinking this week. I shifted my thinking in a sense that has me pondering on things that I would like to learn, what my skills and strengths are, and can I use these things to start something that will bring me satisfaction in an entrepreneurial calling. I have a desire to have a mission on the earth that impacts me in a way that brings fulfillment to my heart.

One of the things that "A Journey's Hero" said to do was to ask people in my life what I do better than anyone in the world. My husband said it is my ability to love and care for others. Indeed, this part of me is ingrained into my very soul. My hope is that no matter what mission I decide to pursue that I can be true to this about myself. Loving and caring for others will be an important part of a successful business.

One other quote that caught my attention was from "A Hero's Journey" is "If you're on a hero's journey the steppingstones you set will be yours. And eventually they will lead you to the gift of gratitude."

I feel like gratitude is essential in having a successful mission. When we are grateful and giving thanks to a loving Heavenly Father we are setting ourselves up for true happiness and success. Anything that I may do successfully is because of my willingness to put Christ first and give credit where credit is due. He is the ultimately leader in all the things I do.
